CVS – Easter Candy & Bubbles

{To my DH when you read this…I got more Airwick Freshmatic Kits and hid them in the basement already.  I know how much you loved that last one (not!).  Ha-ha-ha! It was a money maker so I had to do it.}

There are two freebies on sale through Tuesday only (Bubbles $1.99 get $1.99 ECB and Russell Stover’s Bunny or Egg $.79 get .79).  If you are thinking about trying CVS, you could start with very little out of pocket by getting the Russell Stover’s Egg and pay $.79.  Take that $.79 ECB and do a second transaction with the Super Miracle Bubbles for $1.99 ($1.20 plus tax) and then you would have $1.99 ECB for next week.

Idea for Next Week (Thanks Simply CVS for the sneak preview):

Transaction #1:
Paas Classic Easter Egg Decorating Kit $1.99  get $1.99
Use $1.99 ECB and pay $0
Transaction #2:
Easter Grass $.99  get $.99
Green Bag Tag $.99 get $.99
Use $1.99 ECB and they can adjust it to $1.98

This would leave you with $1.98 ECB again, but you would have some good stuff (especially if you are preparing a basket).  Why the green bag tag?  If you haven’t tried it yet, you should!  Just attach it to any reusable bag and then bring it when you shop.  The cashier will scan it and after four uses you will receive $1 ECB!  You can only use the bag tag once per day.

Here is how my transaction looked for this week.  I had a $5/$40 coupon from Facebook that expired yesterday so that is why I used the Special K deal to get up to $40 and I also had to buy the regular M&Ms because my store was all out of the Easter varieties by Sunday afternoon!   Check out Simply CVS for the week of 4/10 to get more ideas.

    If anyone has ideas on how to get rid of the Airwick Freshmatic Kits, let me know! Do you think I could donate them at church? I think there is a “Household” bin. They go off automatically every 30, 60, or 90 minutes and if you happen to walk by or be near when it sprays, it can be startling!

  2. Great trip and really good tips too! If your church has a donation bin, go for it! I don’t see why it wouldn’t work to donate them. I am a Scentsy consultant so of course I don’t use the Air Wick or Glade fresheners either. My church doesn’t have anything like that so not sure what I would do with them if I bought some. 😦 Thanks for sharing!

    Not sure “startling” accurately conveys what happens when that thing detonates every 30 minutes. I will say that the adrenaline relased into your system does make it smell even lovelier.
