Happy Half Birthday

Liam turned 4 1/2 today!  I guess because they are older now, the celebration of half birthdays has become a very important.  Half birthdays came and went in the past for our family.  Anyway, Liam had very definite ideas about how to celebrate.  He was so excited that his preschool teacher even made him a birthday card.  He desperately wanted a WHOLE chocolate cake (not cupcakes, not Peachwave).  So, that is what he got!   Unfortunately, Genevieve recently picked up my camera off the desk, dropped it and it now takes pictures with funny lines on them.  So that is why I have been using phone photos lately.
Liam also wanted to decorate the cake with candles and have us sing Happy *half* Birthday.  No problem!  I even found a green candle…and he thought there should be four candles (and there are but one is hidden behind the middle candle).  He helped make the cake and really liked doing that.  Oh and behind him is a piece of art he created at preschool…he measured 3 1/2 rolling pins tall (or 40 inches).  The photo above is of him doing his kitchen job last night.  I gave him a spray bottle and a dry dishcloth and he was SUPER excited to wipe the table.  He is such a good boy.  At dinner, I prayed a special prayer for him.  After “amens”, he asked, “Can I pray for Ginger?”  Of course, so he prayed for her too.  I love that he didn’t want to leave her out!
