Yogurt Up To Her Elbows

Lately, Genevieve is insisting on using the spoon when I try to feed her. She does not stop saying Mommy until I give her the spoon. It is a complete mess. And I took this picture before she spilled the bowl. I think it is time for me to get one with a suction cup. Anyone else having issues with a messy eater? Leave me a comment, I would LOVE to hear about it ๐Ÿ™‚

Perhaps we should have Liam give her lessons? ๐Ÿ™‚

I read somewhere to give your baby a spoon of their own to hold while you feed them with another spoon. It sometimes works with Nora, but it does make the feeding go slow, because she is always putting her spoon in her mouth instead of my spoon with the food. Let me know if you come up with anything else!

That is a good tip, I had heard that, too. Sometimes I do give her a spoon, but she ends up wanting the one I have and then I have to use her dirty one to feed her, which still turns out to be a mess. I don’t have any other great ideas on this…I have decided that eating is just a mess with a one year old and she is going to have to learn to feed herself someday so I might as well let her try (when I have the time for a really long meal and clean-up!).
