Blueberry Patch 2012

I cannot find the pictures of Ginger’s half birthday, haven’t posted any Disney vacation photos, and who knows what other stuff went on this month.  But, I am just going to plunge right ahead with today’s fun!  Maybe I will catch up with the past month, or maybe not!

Blueberry picking was fantastic this year!  First of all, the weather was so great.  Because this is the earliest U-Pik opening ever for The Berry Patch, we didn’t have mid-June temps (plus a really cool day today)!  Last year we went really early in the morning and I still remember being very hot.  Not to mention two years ago while 8 1/2 months pregnant with Genevieve…yikes, that year was brutal.  Second, tons of blueberries.  If you have been picking before, you will notice this right away when you walk into the patch.   Last, but not least…great company!  The kids are talking to each other about how big the berries were.  It was really fun to pick and listen to the shouts and excitement that was going on between all the kids.  Genevieve, where is your bucket?  Where are all those berries going?Ginger was an amazing picker this year!Liam, enjoying the day.  He didn’t pick very much, but he had fun!  He was getting ready to take a bite here.Genevieve, sampling.  Yummy!  Definitely, a year to remember in Blueberry Picking history 🙂
